FACHPACK Provides First-Hand Knowledge in the Forums

FACHPACK is also the most important European trade fair for the packaging industry and its users due to its accompanying programme. In the PACKBOX and INNOVATIONBOX, experts from business and science provide information and discuss current topics.

After taking many steps through the halls, having good discussions with exhibitors, and gaining lots of new impressions, it is advisable to take a breather at FACHPACK. The two forums PACKBOX and INNOVATIONBOX, which offer a varied free program for trade fair visitors on all three days of the fair, are the ideal place for this. Visitors can sit down comfortably, be inspired by specialist presentations and panel discussions, ask the experts questions, and make new contacts. Of course, you can also start the trade fair day with a presentation or just listen in briefly – there is no need to register for the forums. 
In Europe, FACHPACK 2024, which takes place from Tuesday to Thursday, September 24 to 26, at the Exhibition Center Nuremberg, is a central meeting place for the packaging industry and its users. The packaging trade fair provides a compact yet comprehensive insight into all relevant topics of the packaging industry.
This includes solutions for product packaging for industrial and consumer goods, packaging aids, and packaging materials, as well as for packaging production, packaging technology, logistics, packaging systems, and packaging printing. This is also reflected in the forums.

Expert-Forum PACKBOX: "What Moves the Industry Forward”

For example at PACKBOX  in Hall 4. The main theme of the events on Tuesday, September 24, is “Market and Consumption” and will be moderated by Matthias Mahr, editor of Lebensmittelpraxis.
 Mahr, who has been very familiar with the packaging industry for several decades, states: "Without packaging, everything would be nothing! Our modern life would not be possible without the services of the packaging industry!". 
On Wednesday, Dr. Johannes Bergmair, WPO General Secretary, will take over moderating the event. The topics are grouped under the motto “Europe and Circular Economy.” “Sharing knowledge and experience in the field of packaging gives me great pleasure. That’s what drives the industry forward. FACHPACK is the best place for this because all the relevant players come together here,” says Begmair. On Thursday, Oliver Berndt, Head of Events and Marketing at the German Packaging Institute, will moderate the presentations and discussions, which are headlined by the theme “Man and Machine.” He is already looking forward to it and states: "I am looking forward to the PACKBOX program with enthusiasm and curiosity. Here we will experience the latest innovations and trends in the packaging industry together. PACKBOX is the ideal place to gain valuable insights and meet experts."

HighNoon: The New Lunchtime Talk

The individual speakers, presentation topics, and starting times will be announced End of June on the FACHPACK website. The special feature on all three days: there will be a “HighNoon” lunchtime talk, starting with a panel round. “Sustainability and Innovation,” “AI in packaging,” and “Technology and Development” are just some of the topics that will be discussed at PACKBOX.

Practical Examples, Problem Solutions in INNOVATIONBOX

In the exhibitor forum INNOVATIONBOX  in Hall 2, companies will present company-related products, solutions, and services. In addition to trend topics such as “sustainability” and “digitalization,” the focus will be on recycling solutions for various materials, new technologies and processes in logistics and packaging machines, and case studies from exhibitors” practical experience. The moderators will be Petra Bindl (on Tuesday and Wednesday morning) and Nina-Carissima Schönrock (starting Wednesday afternoon). Speaking of female presenters: There is also the new Women4Packaging format specially for women – which, unlike the PACKBOX and INNOVATIONBOX forums, requires prior registration.
