Moments for the Heart in the Midst Of The FACHPACK Hustle And Bustle

Every tour of the trade fair is individual. Around 37,000 trade visitors from all over Europe experienced the world of packaging from a wide variety of perspectives – but with all their senses, lots of energy and great memories. A mood report from FACHPACK 2024.

The days of the trade fair began with a great atmosphere: the saxophone player at the East Entrance made for a pleasantly calming arrival in the morning. Over the course of the next few hours, it became fuller, louder and at times more hectic. The hustle and bustle of a trade fair.

Nevertheless, and this is perhaps typical of FACHPACK, you can't help but bump into acquaintances, colleagues and business customers in the midst of the many thousands of people.

The 1455 exhibitors certainly went all out to present their products made from a wide variety of materials. There were hands-on activities, oversized packaging, walls made of cardboard boxes and finishing samples to touch. The industry representatives in the technical halls had their robots and machines running – they were already eye-catching enough, so there was no need for elaborate decorations. Visitors were able to experience the innovative power of the packaging industry with all their senses. There were also some animals in the packaging world at FACHPACK this time, not real ones, but ones that stood out because of their size.

Gingerbread from Nuremberg

Craemer, for example, showed that a cute big polar bear does not slip on its plastic pallets. Interplast Kunststoffe GmbH had set up a fluffy elephant in its KIBO twin-wall sheets. The exhibitors also had something for the heart, playing a little with the Oktoberfest theme and showing or offering the odd gingerbread heart. Of course, there was also real Nuremberg gingerbread at FACHPACK. As around one in three visitors came from abroad, these were also popular souvenir purchases. Of course, visitors could also fill their pockets with free packaging samples and promotional gifts, which are becoming more and more sustainable from FACHPACK to FACHPACK, just like the products on display.
