FACHPACK 2024 Makes Innovations Tangible
Now is the time to prepare for your visit and meetings at the European packaging trade fair in Nuremberg. 1400 exhibitors and an extensive accompanying program will present trends and topics that move the packaging industry and its users.
Sustainability as a Common Thread
One topic that is certainly on companies’ minds is the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which was passed in Brussels at the end of April. On this too, FACHPACK will provide answers to questions such as recyclability, reusability, and the use of recyclates in packaging materials. The topics of environmentally friendly packaging and the circular economy are a recurring theme in the packaging industry and, therefore, also at FACHPACK 2024. Entrepreneur Ute Zimmermann from Vienna, who runs the packaging company Naku, is one of the 1,400 exhibitors: “The growing emphasis on sustainability suits us very well. It’s a great opportunity to present our sustainable products to a broad audience.”
Heike Slotta, Executive Director Exhibitions at NürnbergMesse, sums it up as follows: “There’s simply no getting around FACHPACK in the packaging industry. Being there is everything! As the most important European trade fair, it brings together national and international packaging professionals and idea seekers in a total of eleven exhibition halls with well-known market leaders, established SMEs and fresh start-ups. Not only packaging materials, packaging aids, packaging machines, and packaging technology are exhibited. The associated important processes relating to automation, labeling technology, packaging printing, finishing, and intralogistics can also be experienced on site in Nuremberg.”
Exhibitors will be showcasing the latest technologies and innovative packaging solutions for numerous industries and sectors – from A for automotive to W for wood pulp.
FACHPACK Offers Accompanying Program
The topics of the packaging industry and its users will be addressed not only at the exhibition stands, but also in the diverse accompanying program of FACHPACK with its exciting presentations and discussions in the PACKBOX, INNOVATIONBOX, and, for the first time, SOLPACK (powered by pacoon) forums. Inspiring special shows and award ceremonies, such as the presentation of the German Packaging Award to the winners at FACHPACK, will also focus on sustainability and the future viability of the industry. In addition to sustainability and regulations, the forums will focus on brand and consumer behavior, automation and AI, human and machine, alternative packaging solutions, and new fiber raw materials, as well as innovations and technological developments. Scientific projects and solutions for various industry topics will also be presented.
