Rottaprint offers you a wide range of finishing techniques:
- Hot foil stamping: One of the most effective methods of finishing, accurately reproducing the finest and most intricate details of the label. Enables increased sharpness of detail, even on textured material or water-repellent materials such as PE, PP, PVC or PA.
- Embossing: Using the tactile effect in printing makes it possible to emphasise certain design elements of the label and create a spectacular bas-relief effect. Embossing can be carried out on a range of special materials and in 3D, resulting in different embossing heights with a much more pronounced effect.
- Varnishing: Varnishing, the finish that gives the label a velvety or silky texture, is a technique that creates matt or glossy effects on the surface of the material. Varnishing can be selective or complete, depending on the design.
- Volumetric lacquering: is a finishing method that feels different depending on the effect. For example, a matt lacquer gives a more velvety feel and a glossy lacquer a smoother one.In addition to its aesthetic role, volumetric lacquer also plays an important functional role. For example, it is used to mark containers with hazardous substances, on which certain symbols are to be emphasised, or for Braille.
- Lenticular printing: brings the label to life. This special technology creates special effects that give certain elements of the design the illusion of movement when the product is tilted from top to bottom or from left to right. (see product profile: Hologram labels)
- Cast & Cure: This technique creates a holographic-like structure by changing the surface of the varnish applied to the label without using ink. The advantage of this process is that anti-counterfeiting features can be incorporated into the label to ensure brand security, embellish the label and make the product stand out on the shelf.
- Serialisation: Personalises each label with a unique numeric or alphanumeric code and in a range of colours. It is the perfect method for limited edition products or when security and distribution control are required.
- Mosaic: Is a process in which each product in a given range can have a distinctive and original image, but visually belong to the same variety.nThis technique consists of selecting a few basic patterns and then replicating, mixing and automatically varying the motifs on parts of your labels in the desired quantity, so that in the end no two of your labels are the same.
- Collage: Enables the creation of unique labels from a few specially selected elements, from which a precise number of completely different variations are created on the basis of an algorithm. It is an embellishment technique similar to mosaic, but allows control over the design elements.
- Scratch colours: These special colours, printed using the screen printing process, are normally used for the integration of marketing campaigns. Scratch-off inks have a particularly high opacity so that the information underneath cannot be deciphered without rubbing off the colour.
- Thermochromic inks: allow the label to change colour depending on the temperature to which it is exposed. Provides information about the optimum consumption or storage temperature, for example.
- Special die-cutting: Die-cutting of your label in special shapes. The die-cut can be used as a contour or parts of the label can be cut out.
- Removable labels: are easy to remove from the product without leaving any adhesive residue.
