The R - Series is the next generation of vertical form fill and seal machines. Designed to overcome the typical technological limitations of traditional machines.
Steelo - Pack version:
For the production of block bottom bags with four-edge sealing. The R-series adopts the principle of four-edge sealing directly on the format tube and the new machine concept makes it possible to reduce the product drop height and minimise any adjustment and centring of the seal during format changeover.
Twin version:
With two independently operating machines side by side. Distance between the centre of the format tube between the machines: 800 mm (R 700) and 550 mm (R 500). Can also be combined with a double weigher.
Self-adapting technology:
The R series has been designed to minimise adjustments. In particular:
- the photocell for print mark recognition remains in its fixed position when changing formats
- the print position (printer optional) in the running direction is defined in the programme
- sensor to check the product fall and automatically synchronise with the cross sealing (optional)
- Only one user interface and one machine control for weigher and packaging machine
- Access to the weigher and packaging machine parameters with almost any SCADA system
- Teleservice for both the scale and the packaging machine, also with web cam (optional)
Simple film roll positioning:
The film roll holder is positioned at a 90° angle to the machine and can accommodate roll widths from 160 to 700 mm. The film rolls are always fixed in the same position, regardless of their width.
Automatic film/format tube centring during the format change and during production:
The innovative ‘self-centring film deflection’ synchronises the film position with the format tube during the format changeover and, thanks to its fine position adjustment, ensures correct film run during production and therefore perfect alignment of the longitudinal sealing seam. This saves time during format changeover.
Reduced film tension and less wear on the format collar and film take-off belts:
The reduced number of film deflection rollers and the low weight of the ‘intelligent’ dancer roller ensure that film stretch is minimised and film tension remains constant during operation.The R-Series combines continuous film take-off with intermittent machine movement.
High performance:
The mechanical/software assembly, which combines the continuous film pull-off with the intermittent movement of the seal, drastically reduces friction and the required pulling force. In addition, the special film take-off belts and state-of-the-art electronics allow for exceptional machine performance. Up to 100 cycles per minute with 200 mm long packs.
Compact, easily accessible, safe:
The machine height, measured from the floor to the self-centring film deflector, is only 1,330 mm. Although the machine has a maximum film width of 700 mm, it is only 1,000 mm wide and accessible from both the sides and the rear.The mechanical and electronic components are protected by the ‘Hermetic Box’ structure.
4.0 Electronics:
No bulky and ventilated electronic panels. The option of a built-in PC with Windows 7, combined with ultra-compact motor drives, is utilised here. Internet teleservice offers the option of installing two webcams and connecting to almost any SCADA system.Operator recognition - RFID function and touch screen remote activation with card (optional).
Perfect integration of C1-C2-C4 scales with the R series:
Complete integration. The quad-core PC equipment makes it possible to manage both the scale and the packaging machine.All communication and interface problems are therefore solved quickly and efficiently.
