In addition, Kiefel has presented the NATUREFORMER KFL 90.1 fiber thermoforming system, based on Kiefel’s well-known NATUREFORMER KFT technology. This solution is specially designed to mass produce high-quality, sustainable fiber lids and portion cups, up to 40mm tall, for various food applications, such as hot and cold drinks, margarine, fresh cheese, ice cream, and much more.

The high-performance KFL 90.1 system allows customers to manufacture up to 280 lids/min thanks to Kiefel's advanced Steam Flow Technology, precise temperature control, improved tool layout, optimized HMI interface, and fast tool change.

It stands out from the competition with the lowest energy consumption on the market, and provides a complete solution from fiber preparation, with an integrated pulp basin, to end-product packaging solutions, including sleeving and boxing.

The KFL 90.1 produces sustainable fiber lids featuring the following benefits:

Some possibilities include lids with c-cut holes that can be opened and fixed, allowing closing, and lids with markers to identify the type of beverage.

• Rectangular for food containers:The KFL 90.1 is a versatile lid production system designed to meet a wide variety of packaging requirements. With its adaptable features, it can produce lids in various shapes and sizes, including rectangular formats for products such as Margarine, fresh cheese, ice cream and more.
• Portion cups: The KFL 90.1 is capable of producing both the cup and lid for portion cups.These compact containers are versatile and can handle a variety of hot and cold items, making them ideal for serving snacks, sauces, dips, dressings and more.
