The company history of EXPRESSO Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG goes back to the founding of the August Manss company in 1939. Since 1945, the company has been headquartered in Kassel, and since 1990, it has been part of the Joachim Loh Group (JLU). The EXPRESSO Group currently employs about 180 people in several international branches.

The company is one of the premium manufacturers of manual transport equipment, powered lifting, handling and transport systems, and baggage cart systems. System solutions for loading technology and loading safety are another focus of the portfolio. EXPRESSO Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG serves customers worldwide in industry, logistics, trade and crafts. The company manufactures in Germany and is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001. All products and solutions are characterized by high functionality, flexibility, safety and ergonomics. For 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2024, EXPRESSO was awarded the Top 100 seal as an innovation leader of the German SME sector and was also a finalist for the Manufacturing Excellence Award. Also in 2019, EXPRESSO was awarded the Top Job seal as an attractive employer. The sack truck and lift2move hoist are also listed as Brand of the Century in the German Standards.
