NIAS

According to Article 19 of the European Plastics-Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 all potential health risks by food contact materials needs to be eliminated. This refers to intentionally added SML-substances (as formulation ingredients) as well as the Non-Intentionally Added Substances (NIAS) as degradation products or impurities – what counts is what migrates to the food. For this, Eurofins Consumer Product Testing offers you the so-called NIAS-screenings acc. EN 13130 and EN 14338 and supports you in addition with scientific risk assessments in order to prove compliance of your product with Article 3 of the European Framework Regulation (EG) No. 1935/2004.
