In-Mould Labeling is a labeling method in which a pre-printed high-definition images is used to decorate buckets and lids of different sizes; the decorative film is placed into a mold before the plastic container is shaped into that mold. The decoration is enclosed between two or more layers of plastic materials which give a particular brilliance to the image, with anti-scratch characteristic, UV resistance, hygiene safety and reduction of airborne absorption.
Additionally, the IML techology ensures not only high-definition images, but also longer shelf life of the product and reduces the overall migration; making the packaging procedure and storage suitable even for perishable goods and/or chemically aggressive substances.
According to the required shelf life, it is possible to adapt the label thickness and composition.
