As per today, 2/3 of lightweight consumer packaging in Germany is mechanically recycled. For the remaining volume, chemical recycling can be a valuable alternative to incineration.

The polymers made from chemical recycling can be used to produce contact sensitive packaging.

Thus, the material loop for these packaging solutions is closed, with a significant positive impact on their CO2-footprint.
